I got home yesterday and I had two packages in the mail--one of them was my Tikis, which I adore, and the other one was my swap package from shannihilation! I took a really bad photo with my digital camera to show off all the goodies:

Seriously, WORST day in a month, possibly the semester, today.
I go to pay my rent, and landlady hands me a Big ol' Easy Mac box.
At first I was confused. Why was she giving me Easy Mac? But then I saw all the stamps and realized it was my swap package, and I squee-ed.

Got a box in the mail today and wooo it was heavy. On top there was a card and I learned the person who got me was lunakitten!

kelism's package arrived weeks ago but I couldn't open it until yesterday. After a 2+ week hospital stay it was a lovely little present to come home to!

Like many other participants, life has been particularly sucky lately. So finding the swap box (while my husband cleaned the bedroom!!!) was particularly gratifying today.

Saturday, I went to the mailbox and saw I had a card for a missed package. I honestly couldn't figure out what it could be, so I went to the post office this morning with a bit of trepidation to see what I had missed signing for. As usual with these things, I got it on the most perfect day for a pickmeup. I got a little notice of a package needing retrieved from the post office yesterday, but was unable to retrieve it due to, um, delightfully well trained employees of the Cheyenne Postal Service who pleasantly informed me, without even checking, that my package wouldn't be ( Read more... )
